Lately I’ve been doing some delving into Mary Magdalene. It started when she revealed herself as one of my spirit guides, but all I knew was the picture the Bible painted of her. And this story didn’t resonate with me at all.
My first reaction was why her & not Mother Mary?!
There is so much conflicting information out there and most of it doesn’t resonate with me. Even after all the research I still couldn’t see the link between her & I. But then I came across a Facebook page called Mary Magdalene’s School and reluctantly joined it. And this is when the change began. I noticed an event that they were organising called Mary Magdalene’s Baptism in the Universal Waters. Something in me was intensely drawn to it, but there was this little voice in me that kept on thinking … ”I hope this is not a form of Christianity that I had been exposed to in the past where people tried to convince me of their interpretation of the Bible”. These were obviously issues I hadn’t completely dealt with.
Mary Magdalene’s Baptism in the Universal Waters was an online retreat from 20 – 22 September. The evening before the opening of the retreat the organisers mentioned that the Waitaha people from New Zealand would be joining us. This resonated with me for some unknown reason, so I put all my preconceived notions aside and joined. Keeping an open mind without any expectations was the best thing I could’ve done for myself. I had a beautiful and deeply emotional reconnection with the knowledge of the water. That’s the best way I can describe it at the moment while I'm still processing the whole experience.
What this retreat has done is it made me realise that Mary Magdalene deeply understood the wisdom and knowledge of water. I’ve only started to work with water, but this experience made me realise why I had always been drawn to it, especially as a child. I would even swim for hours in the middle of winter. I simply couldn’t get enough. Water has always been a place where I felt free and safe, until I took on other people’s fears, especially towards open waters like the ocean… This will change. I can sense it.
This experience has taught me to stay open and present so that I don’t allow past experiences to hold me back from moving forward and remembering who I truly am.
I believe that we are here to remember and reconnect to the Christ Consciousness within all of us. It is extremely important to stay grounded and present during this chaotic time on earth as the darkness comes to the surface to be cleansed so that we can all live from our heart centres in peace and abundance.
Remember that we are exactly where we need to be. Be gentle and kind to yourself during these times. We are wiser than we believe. And if in doubt ask the Angels for help. They are keen to help, but because of free will we need to ask them to help us.
I am deeply grateful to have Mary Magdalene as one of my Guides and for this beautiful experience.
